Killing the Innocent

What the Bible Says about Shedding Innocent Blood

Comments

Exodus 23:7 Keep thee far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous slay thou not: for I will not justify the wicked.

Deuteronomy 19:10 That innocent blood be not shed in thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and so blood be upon thee.

Lying and falsehood to open the way for killing an innocent person will be judged by God. He will not excuse the wicked. The innocent are the ones who have been sentenced to death but they did nothing to deserve that sentence. The righteous are the ones who obey the word of God and do works of righteousness. To slay them is an abomination in the sight of God.

Deuteronomy 27:25 Cursed be he that taketh reward to slay an innocent person. And all the people shall say, Amen.

Jeremiah 22:3 Thus saith the LORD; Execute ye judgment and righteousness, and deliver the spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor: and do no wrong, do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, nor the widow, neither shed innocent blood in this place.
Could a lawyer be the one that takes a reward to slay an innocent person?  Yes.  Could a judge be bribed to slay the innocent? Yes.

In the case of Terri Schiavo, Michael Schiavo's lawyer is paid to fight for Terri's death by starvation and de-hydration.

In the case of unborn babies, the ACLU, and any lawyer who fought for the right of a woman to murder her unborn is guilty of taking a reward to slay the innocent.

Psalm 94:20 Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?
Psalm 94:21 They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.
The law of the land is used many times throughout history to slay the innocent and the righteous.  In the United States judges are used to justify the slaying of the innocent.  First unborn children, then people like Terri Schiavo.
Proverbs 6:16 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
Pro 6:17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,

God sees all that we do and nothing is hid from Him. If we continue on this path of death and do not repent, we will face His judgment.
Jeremiah 7:5 For if ye throughly amend your ways and your doings; if ye throughly execute judgment between a man and his neighbour;
Jer 7:6 If ye oppress not the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and shed not innocent blood in this place, neither walk after other gods to your hurt:
Jer 7:7 Then will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, for ever and ever.

Jeremiah 26:15 But know ye for certain, that if ye put me to death, ye shall surely bring innocent blood upon yourselves, and upon this city, and upon the inhabitants thereof: for of a truth the LORD hath sent me unto you to speak all these words in your ears.

Obeying the law of God by being kind to strangers, caring for the orphans, helping the widows, not following other gods, and not shedding innocent blood will insure that God will cause us to dwell safely.

The United States has not done this.  We have allowed the innocent unborn babies to die by the hand of doctors.  We have allowed the starvation and de-hydration of those doctors have said are in a vegetative state.
Our other gods are the gods of convenience and pleasure.

God may in His mercy protect us but we have broken His law and He has no obligation to do so.
